1971 1800E
VIN 184363-34909
Highly
modified, very solid, functional, daily driver quality 1800E. Originally in
yellow color, with black interior, now painted Volvo Saffron gold throughout
(full bare body re-spray) with custom saddle leather interior and custom seats
using stock Recaro/Volvo adjusters. Rear seat is from a ’72 1800E with
retractable seat belts front and rear. It drives well, has a very taunt, solid
feel, both on city streets and the freeway. Water temperature holds normal. Oil
pressure is very good, 30/70 psi hot (idle/2500rpm). The transmission shifts
well, is quiet and clutch and overdrive work well. Dash pads are in great
condition. Dash faces are nicely redone in real wood veneer. Gauges and switches
are all working (except clock). Custom Kenwood AM/FM CD is mounted under dash
keeping the stock AM radio in place. Undercarriage is very solid with no rust
body is straight except for dent on nose/grill surround from a hit and run, no
speed, parking lot incident. Additional specifications and details are listed
below. Detailed pictures tell the rest.
