This plate is used with the flywheel lock tool when the bell housing remains installed. After removing the starter, it is installed across the starter holes with the starter bolts and the flywheel lock tool installed in the middle hole. Use it to lock the engine to install or remove the front crank pulley or to facilitate leakdown testing.
